Sited on top of the flood defences, the project forms a spatial link between a long London garden and the River Thames. The project takes cues from neo-classical romantic gardens of the 18th century, where a rotunda overlooking water was a cornerstone of English Landscape Garden design. Our reinterpretation of the classic rotunda forms a beacon at the end of the garden and provides an intimate space from which to enjoy the spectacular views out over the river.
